I predict the estate will go with more 90s/00s material for a while

If you think of everything that's been happening in the states with regard to race in the last few years

It would make more sense to go with the period where prince got himself a mainly black band

Might be an interesting time to rethink that period and some of his decisions too

The industry reinventing Prince from beyond the grave. Fascinating to see the machine in action. He’d have feigned horror I imagine, but would have doubtlessly been impressed at its effectiveness. He’d have gone with the hologram idea too, I venture, if he’d had full control over it. Control was Prince’s problem, not marketing concepts themselves. The Diamonds & Pearls deluxe now seems logical - Prince attempting to win back his black audience but also maintain his white followers. If it gives us a true insight into everything he was recording during that era to facilitate that balance it’ll be fascinating. No doubt tracklists etc are all set in stone by this point, but if someone with power is reading this, get Goldnigga on there. Any D&P box set will be incomplete without it (and pay the rights to Macca to include Guess Who’s Knockin’- best thing on it).

Guess Who's Knocking is the best on GoldNigga? Really? I will listen again only because you (Number23) said so.

gN has some great material ...Johnny still makes me laugh.

I predict.....nowt. I'm just going to enjoy the ride. It's a fascinating time for me, but, Prince doesn't owe us anything and I am happy whether they mine the vault or embellish previous treasures. It does make me sad to think that he squirrelled away a lot of his great work and people actually broke into his vault once he was gone 😥 The estate seems to be releasing things respectfully and I hope this continues 😎✌🎹

I doubt that

The estate needs to just really start working from beginning forward, while adding a few latter pieces here and there

DVD's are the real dead that need releasing ICONIC shows the 1984 1985 1986 Birthday shows the Lovesexy After shows, the 1983 Dance Benefit Show certain pre-1999 and 1999 era shows

That would be a nice direction to return to after the most recent album era. Either that, or they go to the 2016 PAAM shows.

Since Prince has some of the best sales in a legacy artist status; and continues to out sale some current Pop stars with his physical sales is proof that the music industry needs him (In a time where albums don't sell). Well, since D&P is coming out this year (most likely) your wish of 90's material will come true. Although a re-release of Crystall Ball seems to be coming out next year. I dare to guess that Parade Deluxe will be next year (I am wishing for that one).

99.9% of everything I say is strictly for my own entertainment

More 90s material from the estate, and you're gonna have a fun listen - I predict.

Prince wasn't about that but

Prince's 90s music was just a different version of his 80s music

.

Then they need to release all things Prince & the Time 1981-1984

Some amazing jazz work

You'll find the best most heavy tracks that the Revolution recorded,

the ones that we thought were too far gone back in the 80s

you'll find the more psychodelic rock version of the Time

you'll find the really erotic Prince

the really erotic sensual Prince

you'll find the future

.

Kurt: What's going to happen to all that stuff? Will it ever come out? ...

.

Oh yes, I'll give it away...
