Torontonian Trevor Guy may just have the coolest music executive gig on the planet.

As the creative director of the Prince estate, Guy is in charge of overseeing the posthumous projects intended to keep the legacy of the late Minneapolis musical wunderkind alive.

Among the projects Guy has supervised are the 35-song deluxe edition of “Purple Rain”; the 65-track super deluxe issue of “1999” (for which Guy was nominated for a Grammy) and the eight-CD/one-DVD super deluxe expansion of “Sign o’ the Times,” which boasts more than 60 previously unreleased tracks from the Vault, the near-mythical storage space in Prince’s Paisley Park studio complex where the prolific superstar stored all his studio creations.
