Easily 4 stars, get rid of the last 2 songs, it is 5 stars. W2A is an incredibly cohesive album both in sound and theme.

Yes, a lot of people read the room wrong when it comes to music. Such people would label an album like this "boring soul music". Even the worst P music is good rhythmically with great tone colour.

A lot of Bach aficionados list as one of the reasons he's the 'best', that he has more tunes than anyone else. Well they're wrong. Listen to everything P has done, including the vault and it's obvious he has the most tunes, bar none.

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

It's a 1 or 2 out of 5 stars album.

Not worth a release or repeated listen

C'mon, every single piece of work (especially) by Prince should deserve a deeper dive and not be dismissed likes that. How can you judge it after just one listen? This kind of superficiality is a thing that I really don't understand.

That's not how it works.

Prince made some amazing albums and quite a few bad/meh albums.

It's easy for me to sense what's good/interesting or not.

It has to have something right away.

This album didn't have anything besides some nice grooves etc.

If it had something I would give it chance to grow.

I celebrate the great stuff Prince did, there's no pressure to like it all even the bland

This release is about as good as Michael Jackson's "Michael" album except Prince's doesn't have three fake songs! Michael fans know what I mean.

Was there some imitator or something on the Michael tracks?

On three tracks. "Breaking News", "Monster","Keep Yoru Head Up" is NOT Michael but sounds JUST LIKE an imitator named Jason Malachi

I'm not a fan of W2A and I doubt it will ever grow on me, but I'm nevertheless not sure I agree with this. Many of favorite Prince songs started off as songs I didn't like. It was only after repeatedly listening to them that they grew on me.

I recall an interview with David Z where he made the point that many Prince songs, on first listen, don't appear to have a hook. But there is a hook there, it's just buried. And after you listen to a song few times it's like a light switch goes off and you say, "Ah, now I get it!" I could relate to what he was saying because that happened to me many times...

Though, admittledly, I doubt it will happen with this album.

4 stars.

I think the girls singing are fine and he gave them fitting songs, don't mess nothing up for me.

One that I can listen to again and again..... love it on the road, sound is organic and laid back. I loved the soundscape on Rainbow and One nite alone (live), save for the theology.

1.5 stars. He should have dropped it under his bike and rolled over it.
