I put it to you. Prince is the new Han Solo.

1000 Light years away is a measurement of distance not time. If you know what i'm talking about, much love! smile

I know you're referencing Han Solo and his use of parsecs. I don't see why you're saying that Prince is not saying light years are a unit of distance.

Also, if you truly know Star Wars, you know that the Kessel run was done in less than 12 parsecs because it was via a shorter route. Only the fastest ship could have taken that route due to the gravitational pull of the Maw. Slower ships have to take a longer route. Obviously without the coaxium boost, Han and the Falcon would have been destroyed, but a cocky person like Han isn't going to insert that snippet into the story.

Wouldn't you rather have me near?
Or 1000 light years away from here

Prince clearly knows they are a unit of distance.

RIP sad

Why settle for a star when you can have the sun? The same thing? Prince is a bit rubbish in celestial matters. Clearly.

(P.S. I only tookin in the chorus just the once so far. Like i only saw 'Solo' once. Hope I'm forgiven!) lol

The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

If you can add value to someone's life then why not. Especially if it colors their days...

I've never understood this criticism. Objectively, yes, the Sun is just an average star, but this is poetry not a science paper. From our subjective perspective it's the comparison between distant pinpricks of light with the source of all energy on Earth.

I've got a theory that it's actually a reference to Starr Cullars but that's another story.
