It's Time for "Piano and a Microphone" Shows!

Regular CD of Atlanta.

Deluxe includes several shows.

It's been 5 years.

It's time!

Yes, it is one of the top things on my want list. I especially want all the shows represented in some way given he changed the lineup of songs quite a bit and what I have heard so far has been good in terms of performance.

Welcome 2 America was my biggest want from the Estate and I'm so happy it's finally been released. My other two biggest wants were the P&AM show he played and Black Is The New Black, so hopefully those are next. One thing that irked me was the P&AM live album was on the horizon back in 2016, with some of it being played at his last public appearance. I know once he transcended the priority was opening the vault, which happened basically immediately. But as well as the PR, 1999 and SOTT remasters was a load of reissues and other vault albums. I don't see why the Estate couldn't have seen his wishes through and had a P&AM show as the first non-deluxe album release, followed by Black Is The New Black which was also almost done - if not fully complete. I've seen some people say elements of W2A aren't fully complete, so if BITNB isn't fully done, that shouldn't stop them releasing it. Or they can get Donna, Adrian and Mononeon in to fill in the gaps as it was recorded with them. I can't wait for the day these two albums are finally out!!

eye dont think U heard me . . .

Mostly agreed - but I really hope they don't bring in musicians to 'finish' his music. Even people I admire like Donna and Dywane. There'll come a time when the vault's almost empty and they start to embellish/'update' etc. his music - that's inevitable one day but personally I hope that day's a long long way off. In my lifetime I'd rather hear things the way he left them.

As well stated in the song "Moonbeam levels"
"It's never too late"
Especially for a release of this magnitude.A concert from Prince's last tour would be a big seller

Agreed. The videos of the 2 Paisley Park shows are fantastic. For audio only shows, I don't really have a preference, but since Prince had planned for the 2nd Atlanta show, I'll take that.

That would have been way too soon.

Although I'd buy it, I'm more interested in studio outtakes than live stuff.

Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

I would love to see the Paisley Park debut shows released as a DVD or Bluray.

Me too. Although it would be very very nice to have the Paisley Park premiere shows and the 2 last shows in a box.

I'm ready for this kind of stuff if they start to release more things a year. I don't want them to stop releasing SDE's though.

Given the choice between an SDE of an album, with outtakes etc and an era relevant concert, I will always opt for those first, over any other kind of release.

After that it's 'unknown' studio albums and after that it's any live recordings.

Too late for a "This is It" Michael Jackson kind-of success.

But...with the proper promotion it could still click. Again...with the proper promotion.
