Sure, Adore is better than Kiss. Adore is better than We March. Adore is better than Blue Light, but duh. Come On is even better than Adore! Blasphemy you say? I have ears people. Though I did come to enjoy this song a bit more in later years, when I started getting into Prince this was a song I just couldn't stand, and was surprised to know how much of a fan favorite it was. Mostly because it sounded cheesy, like the lyrics were full of romance, but that kind of calculated love talk that was done by a guy who just wanted to fuck a woman once then scram. . It took some years for me to listen to it again and find it to be a good song. That's all it is to me, and if all Prince's songs were like this, I wouldn't have become a fan. In that regard, I enjoy ballads like Do Me Baby and even Call My Name a lot more. [Edited 7/25/21 20:14pm] | |
