And signed by Prince in 2009.
Oh no... Please don't believe those rumors and lies about this being faked by this "Neversin" person, or that 10-year-old MJ blog. Clearly not a Prince fan or fam! 950 were produced and 10 were signed by Prince. Karl Fowler is not a scammer. He is the founder and owner of Kraken Opus, which produces these fine books. And he is my personal friend I've known for a long time.
Clearly not signed by Prince. Prince didn't sign anything after he became a Jehovah's Witness. Stop lying. Also that signature looks like it was done on an Etch-O-Sketch.

It was conformed to be real when a box of these DVD's were found together with the left over supply of the books and iPods. Also the picture quality on the DVD is way better and much higher resolution than on the iPod. https://www.copycatsmedia.com/ is teh MPLS based company that made these DVD's and some of Prince;s other official releases (N.E.W.S and Lotus Flower.)

Crazy, I never knew that. Do we know what these DVD's were intended for? In-house, promotional, release? Thx
It was a promo |

I think it was a promo, but it's nowhere stated on teh cover or disc. I also don't know how many of these were pressed or have been sold or doing the rounds.

Fascinating thread. Would be really surprise to hear that Prince was signing/autographing anything in 2009. |

I would be surproised if he really did sign these books simply because they weren't advertised with an autograph. The only thing they advertsied were that ugly diamond symbol thing and crocodile leather looking editions. Plus the fact that people who ordered one with an autograph got it with a wet autograph as if it was signed the moment it was shipped. One of these seller posted a yourtube veideo of it and had fans and even an autograph expert look at it and clearly it was a fake autograph that didn't even resemble Prince's penmaship or any of his autographs that are mostly all the same and instatntly recognizable. That seller (Karl Fowler) already had bad rep regarding these thing and more (not delivering what people paid form etc.) from the MJ community who he aslo scammed.

That's more than enough info to convince me. |

Crazy. Promos usually have a "not 4 sale" label, but who knows...?
Now unless you wanna defeat the purpose of the Opus (or give fans an opportunity to get a copy for free), why would you make a promo of that video album? And who do you send it to?
Very odd. |

Weird yes. Maybe these were private pressings or something. it is said that he guy who sold these on eBay had all of the DVD's, books and the iPods. So maybe theere were plans to include the DVD with the purchases at one time. Or meybe these DVD were pressed for backup purposes when one of the iPods were fried or something.

My understranding is that OPUS wanted to reignite interest in the project after modest sales
Perhaps the Estate could put it up on the official youtube channel or something [Edited 7/11/21 0:38am] |
