Duane Tudahl - Give Thanks.

This is sometimes such a toxic place. Despite knowing this, I am surprised by the negative comments about Duane and/or Duane's book. For those whining, are you prepared to spend 1% of the time writing a report (let alone a 750 page book) investigating these 'wrongs' or omissions? The guy not only has proven that he's a fan who was prepared to dedicate huge amounts of his personal time to something all of us rabid fans consider a 'hobby', he has access that we don't!!! Come on...he's in perfect position to know what the heck he's talking about.

As for NDAs...of course he's not going to say more than he can. Would YOU risk losing his position in the Estate by talking about something you are not supposed to???????? As I write this, I realize there is no point to the post...there will always be those that remain content grumbling about anything and everything. With that said, I guess this message is actually for Duane - keep up the good work, know that the org has some toxic members who should just be ignored.

I haven't received the 2nd book yet but the tidbit about the girl in Brazil and how it explains the broken English lyrics of I Wonder U alone is worth the cost of this book. These details are not available elsewhere.

Duane, thank you for this FANTASTIC book.

I totally agree.

You are absolutely right.

How prepostorous it actually is, not even realizing that a book like this is a holy grail to all us.

The shameful, disparaging and immaturity of showing no respect for someone else's hard work.

Spoiled purple brats ! smile

a friend of mine who is a huge Springsteen fan was hugely impressed with this..I think he said something to the effect that, despite all the books on BS...nothing like this existed.

A "holy grail to all of us"??... as much of a fan of Prince as i am, there's no logic in putting Mr. Tudahl on such a lofty pedestal...its very interesting and entertaining information, but its no "Holy Grail to ALL of us"...cmon Bro

This book is the exact kind of book I would get but I've been going back and forth on getting it because, really, do I need another Prince book? Lol but you've pushed me to get it.

As for those nay-sayers and looky-loo's who bring the tone of this place down, they just want rumours, scandal and gossip to talk about. They aren't interested in the actual "work" of this man.

8 comments, and only 1 negative in tone. Ok, maybe this isn't that toxic. It is just the same old people who do all the negative talk.

Thanks for exposing yourself

I find that when you complain about the negativity that gets bandied about on the daily on the Org, those kinda folks tend to stay away. But spend some time in the P&R forum if you wanna see negativity.

Im safely assuming youre referring to my comment... where is the negative tone?...i clearly said its "entertaining and interesting information"...its just not a "HOLY GRAIL" to "ALL of us"...or do you even know what the words "Holy Grail", or "all of us" mean?...some of you people are so intent on forcing your jaded opinions onto everyone, that as soon as someone has a diferent take, its perceived as negative...grow up, different people have different opinions...not everyone is a psychophant or hypester

Yeah, your comments weren't actually too bad. Your 2nd response is sort of what I meant by toxic..."do u know what holy grail means...". ...or

"Toxic"?...so correcting someone and asking someone a question is toxic?...LOL...im gonna stop now...because if i say what i should say, you'll REALLY think its toxic... im just fully aware that a certain few of you cant accept different opinions than your own, or else you feel bullied, or a sense of "toxicity"...what a place this has become...where opinions of a stranger on the internet are somehow "toxic"

TOXIC:

very harmful or unpleasant in a pervasive or insidious way.
ie.,"a toxic relationship"
noun
poisonous substances

no where can that be applied to a comment on a blog or fansite, and definitely not in this case...

I await this book BUT, if it's even "as good as" the first, it's one of the premier books of any artist.
No one else did what Prince did and putting the pieces together is hard work.
Thanks, Duane.

I think it could certainly be argued that interacting with you has been 'unpleasant in a pervasive...way' for some strangers on the internet.

I never said i "wasnt going to respond"...ever... a few of you are fascinated with addressing me in a somewhat condescending manner...or just fascinated with me in general...so when i have time i will entertain the ignorance with defiance...if you dont like it, dont address me...whats interesting is the one person i addressed with my original comment has never even responded...vannormal has always exuded class...its the other couple of you that wanna try and stir the pot and get negative attention, that talk reckless in the comment box, and then cry toxic when i respond...LOL...so predictable...im proving a point all right...MY point, over and over...but youll keep responding to me and my unwillingness to conform, and continue to derail your own threads with the same antics...RJ this, RJ that...just think, if you never wouldve butted in and responded to my comment to vannormal, with cries of "toxic", that would have been my only comment of the thread...but a couple of yall love the negative attention...then blah blah blah, the thread gets locked and hidden...so predictable...but keep going cool

So either get some MUCH thicker skin or thicker touchscreens (LOL)... since interacting with a stranger untold hundreds or thousands of miles away on the internet, is somehow so pervasive and unpleasant..Or better and smarter yet, dont interact with me...is that so hard to understand?...if you dont say anything to me, its very likely i wont say anything to you...a mere child can grasp that concept...

I'm not bothered...just pointing out that you are decidedly unpleasant and could therefore be defined as 'toxic' in your interactions here.

Only to someone hypersensitive and somehow prone to being agitated by a stranger INFINITE MILES AWAY, who dares to have a differing opinion or train of thought than theirs... so much so, that it makes their internet experience "unpleasant & toxic"...the literal definition of "bothered"...you still wanna "argue" that point?...or are you sufficiently "bothered" yet?...what a contradiction your strange repetitive comments are...LOL...so toxic and unpleasant, but not bothersome...too funny...keep going, the Clippers are killing the Jazz anyway so this playoff game is boring.

Amused like when you see a 5 year old do silly things ...for future reference, if you think something is (in your words) "decidedly unpleasant and toxic" to you, that literally means it is bothering you...so while we're amusing each other, lets try to keep it 100 and maintain some semblance of honesty...as adults...please...your "none of those things"?...you sure?...we cant tell

Pretty sure. You seem bothered by my unbotheredness. Do you want some hints as to how you might get under my skin?
