Dance Electric & 17 Days Somewhere in the Purple pantheon of what mightve been, these two classics linked by the elasticity of their funky groove belong on the same album. What else from the era that fits sonically might fill out that album?

Mia Bocca, We Can Funk, Katrina's Paper Dolls, Electric Intercourse, probably countless others.

At an aftershow at the House of Blues in Chicago in September in 2012, he took the rhythm track from Dance Electric and ran it under that, Mountains and Everyday People (starting with Mountains and ending with Dance Electric). As the other two songs were performed, I thought, "He HAS to do Dance Electric. He can't tease that and not play it." He did - with a great guitar solo - and it was amazing. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Yeah the drum patterns on DE and Mountains are so very similar they are almost no brainers to play together!

I'm diggin' your track list. With my one edit tho (not a Moonbeam fan; its SO UNfunky, it definitely doesn't go here) I need to go back and hear Katrina's Paper Dolls. I might just compile this myself. Hmmm, what to call it: Purple Funk Strays. Funky Purple Strays....?

Call it Purple Music haha, Feel U Up original would be good instead of Moonbeam in general

. I'd add "Wonderful Ass". Love that murky, laid-back rhythm.

Do you guys have a G-Spot that approaches the quality of these other songs? My best G-Spot is from The Bird Rehearsal, but it's not as energetic as my muddy old studio G-Spot, which I can't even remember where I got it from.
