hahhaha love it. had to go back and check that one, been so long since i've listened.

Isn't it the same stock scream every movie director uses when someone falls off a cliff?

That scream could possibly be from some old film that was archived into a sound library at some point and has been absorbed into the 'stock sound bank' used royalty free ever since.

I think I heard the original baby cooing sound 'aah-hhaa' that has been sampled thousands of times (I think Prince uses it on 1999 album somewhere?? DELIRIOUS!) - but damn, I forgot where I heard it - it was definitley in an old b/w film (pre-sampling).
We all know the 'Bizarre' sample used in many Prince songs is from a Frank Zappa interlude/track that was part of the sample library on the Fairlight.

It sounds like some dorky Minnesota white guy to me. It was probably a Paisely Park employee who happened to be working while Prince was tracking the song and he told him to go yell by a microphone. Nothing more to it. Also, on what planet is asking THAT question invasive? That's maybe the least invasive question I've ever heard.
