Vague memory from circa 2004-05: Prince posts an Aimee Mann MV on NPGMC. I know he did it with an Esthero song, but I'm not sure about Aimee Mann, but why would I have imagined this?

Can anyone confirm, and possibly tell me which song it was?

I remember him posting the video for "Sleeps With Butterflies" by Tori Amos around that time. I don't remember whether he ever posted an Aimee Mann video, though.

I think he did, too. My reaction was like yours, but Prince had lots up his sleeve to surprise us with! I can't recall either which song it was of Aimee Mann. I do remenber Prince's support of Esthero.

Thanks, that's good. The Esthero song was We R In Need Of A Musical Revolution (great track). Since it seems P was promoting new releases, and since it appears that the only MV out of Aimee Mann's 2 2005 singles was the song titled video, I would assume that was the one. It's likely I've missed songs just recommanded via P's website (like Esthero or Aimee Mann) or social media (like KING's first single on Twitter back in 2013).

I remember hearing Prince was a big fan of the movie 'Magnolia'. Aimee's 'Wise Up' was the key song in that.

He did post something Aimee Mann-related on NPGMC. Most likely due to her battling her own record label at the time and being independent.
