How did I miss that? Scrolling through Spotify on the official Prince account and I see that The Musicology Release Party is there in full. Even though the extra songs kinda sound like a bootleg. I’m not complaining! Just didn’t hear that it was there! Currently blasting Days O Wild! “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!” | |

And yet again people pretend a blatantly illegal upload is official just because some bad software has added it to the official account. . Every bloody week there is some post like this. © Bart Van Hemelen

More to the point, how did the estate miss that? Some of us dyed in the wool Prince obsessives seem more in touch with his back catalogue than those apparently in charge of it. The world's problems like climate change can only be solved through strategic long-term thinking, not expediency. In other words all the govts. need sacking!

. You lot think the Estate is managing all these apps? Where do you get these ideas? . This has to do with all these apps being shitty as fuck WRT linking stuff to artist accounts. This happens at YouTube, Spotify, Tidal,... (But at the same time I understand why this happens: you cannot have an approval process because some artists are at war with previous labels and thus wouldn't approve the music they made for that label to be linked to their account. And thus the solution apparently is: allow anybody to do whatever and just execute takedowns when someone in charge complains. However, IMHO there should be a difference between the claim of a "serious" label and the claim of some rinkydink outfit.) © Bart Van Hemelen
