5 years? Where has the time gone? I still remember where I was when I heard of Prince's passing. For almost 2 years after his death, I couldn't sit and listen to his music like I always had. It broke my heart and could only manage a few songs here and there. I did get past that and I'm back to listening and enjoying everything he's ever recorded. I miss him so much as I always thought we'd be watching him perform as an old man. I still believe there is and never will be another musician like him. Prince was magical in so many ways. I'm so grateful to have seen one of his last shows. March 25, 2016 in Toronto. A night my husband and I will never forget. Such a small intimate venue too. Thank you Prince for all the wonderful music and amazing, fun times.

Five years ago this planet became a lot less interesting.

Five years of grief, heart-break, celebration.

Maybe today I'll just say a quiet thanks, the guy whose music has propped me up for my whole damn existence.

My heart still hurts. It always will. We are so fortunate for all of the music. Thank you Prince.

We've been on quite a journey, Prince. You've been there for me in so many ways. I thank you for that.

I love you and I miss you.

I've always said that Prince's music was the soundtrack to my life.

Nevermind making music and touring, I just miss him being alive and in the world.
