What albums R U missing from the hard 2 find list?

Just curious, what Prince albums or side projects are u missing from your collection?

The only one I want on cd but could never find is Mazarati.

I have every Prince, Time/Original Seven, Andre Cymone, Jesse Johnson and Family/fDeluxe album on CD. I think I'm missing one or two Sheila E albums but I'm not too bothered by that. Luckily, I have everything I want. I mean, it would be nice to have a complete collection of everything, including Mazarati, Jill Jones, Wendy & Lisa etc but thankfully for my bank balance, my "mad collector" phase didn't last long.

I have Mazarati on vynil but not cd.

I spent a small fortune on Bootlegs.

Thank goodness the digital age did away with that.

Right now my Prince and Prince related official hard copies collection is pretty pathetic. Probably over 80% of what i do have is mp3's that are burned on to discs. i do have a OK amount of boots, some of which i have never listened to. Just recently i was looking for the madhouse stuff(in my collection), but couldn't find it on the disc that i thought it was on. Luckily i decided to check this other disc that ended up being mislabeled. And it was on that one.

Man, over the past few years I've gotten rid of a lot of stuff. Shortly i plan to start collecting again though. As for what am i missing from the HTF list? i couldn't really tell you....Actually, what is considered hard to find??

Rest in Peace Bettie Boo. See u soon.

I don't care much about the format - LP or CD - but I am missing a few of things.

Goldnigga

One Nite Alone

One Night Alone Live

N.E.W.S.

Crystal Ball 5-CD set (I have the 4-CD)

Superconductor (don't give a crap about it either)

I have A.C. but only for "Dance Electric." Andre is talented, but I found his solo music really generic and boring.

I think I have most of the associated stuff on vinyl, at least. I found Romance 1600 on CD a couple of years ago. So random, for $4 at a record store I'd never been to before.

I don't typically buy someone who's gotten a random song by Prince. Like, I don't need to own Martika's Kitchen to have those songs (eg: digital). I don't need to own every Sheena or Patti album with a Prince song on it. Those aren't associated artists. Those are artists in their own right first, and Prince lent to the cause.

Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking.

Being mainly a 12" single collector. Here are the tops of my want list:

Philippines: I could never take the place of your man, Gett off, Cream

Portugal: Sign o' the times

Venezuela: Batdance

UK promos: Erotic city, Pop life, Anotherloverholenyohead

Ireland: Purple rain

I don't have any New Zealand pressings either and only 1 Ecuador pressing

HOLY GRAILS:

Hong Kong: Batdance, The arms of Orion, Trust, Thieves in the temple

There are lots of commons from Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia and others that I still need but one at a time I'll be getting those biggrin Overall though I have over 300 12" singles from 18 countries. Not too shabby.

Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for.

Also did not have One Night Alone Live, but bought Up All Nite With Prince for less than 50 Cdn dollars, really nice package to have

I'd at the very least like the various Jill Jones/Vanity/Apollonia/Family/Madhouse/NPG albums on streaming. Hell, even the Carmen Electra and Mayte albums should be on there.

I never got around to getting a physical copy of Madhouse 16, I'm sure I will at some point. As for the rest... my days of trying to track down an affordably priced CD of Paisley Park Records side-projects are long over, I have most of them on vinyl anyway. I'd like the above to be rereleased proper though.

The New Power Generation - Goldnigga (Official hard copies are too expensive, but I have a digital copy.)

Támar Davis - Mik & Honey (A few Japanese CDs escaped before the album was pulled, but good luck finding one of those.)

I have all of the other Paisley Park/NPG released albums on CD. The few that I'm still missing like Kahoru Kohiruimaki's Time The Motion and Jacob Armen's Drum Fever, I don't need. I believe only Eric Leeds plays on the latter anyway.

I have at least a digital copy, and mostly hard copies, of almost everything I'm remotely bothered about (the main discography + side projects). That's not the case with Crystal Ball, but I think I'll just wait for a reissue of that.

.
Not in collection:
Mazarati & Apollonia 6 on cd
The War cd (have the tape)
MPLS cd single
Milk and Honey album
.
I was lucky to buy most albums/cds/vinyl when these came out since the 80s for the normal sale prices. Also ordered from NPG online in the 90s/00s so have most of the rare stuff on cd, like Goldnigga (1st pressing), Madhouse 8 and 16 Jill Jones, The Family, Jacob Armen etc... but still some stuff to wish for...
And, some years ago, bought several items, mainly 12 inches, from a fan who stopped collecting. That was a great chance to get some of the more obscure Paisley Park remixes.
BTW, ordered the MPLS single from PP in 1994, but got message that it was no longer available then. Damn!!

I don't know how I missed it, but I had no idea Apollonia 6 even had an album out until 1987.

I found their cd by accident in the mid 90's while at a cd store. The cd had Japanese writing in the J-sleev so when I pickup it up, it was Apollonia 6. I couldn't believe it. $6.00 it took me about 10 years 2 find that cd and it was by mistake. Lol........

Would love to have Apollonia 6 on CD. I never had a physical One Night Alone piano/voice CD either.

Would like to have The War CD as well.

Had Mazarati, but sold it back in the day when it went for $400. Also sold a real copy of Undertaker CD for over $400.

My Jill Jones was stolen years ago but I have it backed up so it's no biggie. I would definitely be interested in a nice rerelease with bonus stuff though! biggrin

grrrr. Had original Madhouse CDs, NEWS and One Night Alone but lost the jewel boxes and covers in a ill-thought through space saving idea before I moved.

Pretty sure my Jill Jones and Family CDs are fake but think my Taja's is real.

I'm not too bothered about the stuff I don't have...but I am bothered that I have the empty CD case for Exodus and have not been able to find the CD since 2015. That bothers me a lot!

I don't necessarily need every format of every album. I already have every Prince album on cd however and that suits me. I did go on a hunting mission for singles after Prince died though and I'm always on the look out for something I don't have.

There's a shop in Talbot Street called Bookmart/GameXchange that sell some really rare Prince CDs. I got Emancipation, N.E.W.S., Ice Cream Castles and the Lotusflow3r triple pack. More often than not you probably won't find anything of note but it's worth a check whenever you're in town next. Mind you, I haven't been in there in over a year so the shop might not even be there anymore for all I know.

There's not too many legitimate Prince/Associated Artist cd's that I don't have but I would like actual physical copies of:

GoldN

Kamasutra

Xpectation

CNote Milk And Honey- Tamar

I would like to have the Martika's Kitchen: Reheated Edition with the Prince remixes. I have no desire to have the Appolonia 6 CD as I really can't stand 'TMWY'.

When I was a member of the NPG Music Club I downloaded The Chocolate Invasion and The Slaughterhouse. Burned a couple of CD hard copies of each and gave them away to other Prince fans across they years but now when I try to burn copies of them my Windows media won't let me do it. Can't figure out what the problem is.

Make a list of the so-called "hard to find" albums...

I have everything I want to have but am curious. I know The Family CD is rare
