i don't love her, but it's refreshing to hear someone say that every note should be released eventually, even if i don't really think she's saying it for entirely non-selfish reasons.

take some years to do big event style releases, but when the time comes you fucking better have every single scrap the guy ever made on some big website to trawl through, i'd imagine there's quite a lot that would have no place on an SDE as they're currently envisioned by howe and the gang, should that stuff be left to sit around? i think not.

You are correct and I even managed to get to the article the way you typed it the first time so don't worry.

"To me, for a long time, he wasn’t of the caliber of Michael Jackson and Madonna, but the world thought he was. Of course, I thought it was great, it was wonderful, but it was all surreal. Especially going to the Purple Rain movie premiere and seeing Eddie Murphy and all these stars sitting around and I’m still sitting there going, “Why did they show up? What are they doing here?” My brain really never caught up, and if I’m totally honest, I didn’t catch up until about four years before he passed. That’s when I realized my brother was actually a star."
.
🤔🧐🤨🙄😒
I'm sorry but this is such horseshit.
It took her four years before he passed to realize that he is a star? Not even being inducted into the RRHOF did it in for her? It must be a sibling thing bc downplaying his success by disguising it as some "unbeknownst to me" syndrome is just fuckin weird.
.
Anywho I appreciate the sentiment to get everything out, it's a pretty bold statement to make, I highly doubt he wanted ALL of his recordings released. Hopefully a streaming/Prince store could come to fruition if it's lucrative enough.

She seems great until she walks and talks! She came over to the uk a couple of years ago and did some interviews. Put it this way, I could see why prince didn’t leave a will!

Hmm...

well, it sounds like her intentions are sort of in the right place now, and I honestly wish her all the best.... but, man, does she also come across like an idiot.

The answer to the first question seems weird to me. It's just odd.

Strive

But you also find these pieces of music that are just the beginning of a song or a chorus and all of the sudden there’s no other half to the song and it’s like, “Oh man, you stopped singing.”

The most interesting part to me.

I wonder how many times this happen post 95 with things like I Am where he told the engineer to dupe the chorus part instead of running it the whole way through.

  • Tyka is not an heir to 1/6th of Prince's Estate; she sold all or the majority to Primary Wave
  • She didn't comprehend his star-power till 4 years prior to his passing?
  • He wanted every little snippett released?
  • She is actively working in concert w/Michael Howe???
  • Is talking in circles/riddles a family trait?

I get that point, to me he was just a familiar face. As far as my siblings I didn't see them the way others saw them. People world day how pretty my sister is it handsome my brother and I would be like, "Oh really?" coz to me it was a face I grew up with and didn't have an opinion cuz they were just there.

That's the part I dont understand. I'm not knocking her but if I had a sibling who was a musical powerhouse and happened to be an iconic pop star, I'm not sure if I couldnt help BUT notice that he was those things.

Like when she said she got the phone call about his passing and she just put the phone down when she was told. It's just weird.

Well, remember, she is convinced Prince told her he was about to die.

No matter what everyone thinks of her, she did right by her brother and allowed him to be cremated so he could die with dignity and I appreciate that about her. But of course God saw to it that it was taken care of.

When did she say that? Was it the same interview where she mentioned the phone call?

she is a PR distaster. Why the fuck does she feel it necessary to keep pushing this BS?

Good that she wants his stuff released BUT if it was her choice to release the live one selected for W2A DVD then we're all fucked!

She's an absolute disaster and sounds like a passive-aggressive, resentful moron.

The further they keep her away from the media and Prince's legacy, the better.

This! I don't want to deviate too far from the subject of this thread but of all the shows from this tour, why pick the one with so many damn covers? I saw the last 3 shows of his forum residency and they were spectacular. Hell even the MSG shows would've been great!
