There is avideo of Prince walking through the basement of a building with 2 secirity guards (I think). It looks like he is getting ready to go on stage - he is stretching and does some high kicks. Then as the camerman keeps walking back Prince spins to the side, straight into a lift (elevator for our American friends!).

I think it is the Nude tour.

Thanks milesb. I found the concert but it doesnt have him in the basement at the beginning. I'll keep looking.

I think it's hilarious that after he says "now watch this", he has a Spinal Tap moment and forgets where the elevator to the stage is.

This is behind the scenes footage from the Nude Tour that was uploaded by the videographer in the hopes of selling it to a documentary maker (and then they later pretended that this was a trailer for their own documentary, even though it was blatantly obvious that such a thing would never happen).

He didn't forget where the elevator was. It was a classic Prince "Psych!" move.

Yes, it was a Friday Nights Videos Prince Special where Kadeem Hardison hosted and Patti Labelle was a special guest and they showed that backstage footage along with videos of The Question of U, Thieves In The Temple long version and other snippets of concert footage from the Nude tour.

The Friday Night Videos in question was on Friday November 2nd, 1990 to promote the premiere of Graffiti Bridge.
