. Ah yes, the horrible pain of having to watch a short video is exactly the same as someone posting a screenshot of a three hour long podcast and a vague description of what to expect. (BTW the anecdote at the start is very funny. Skipping it would be stupid.) .

Yeah, this is actually crucial details on storyline. So, Charlie was claiming this happened "When Purple Rain was the sh*t!" Late 1984. But Eddie's description of the clothing can't mean anything else than 1986. Of course, most widespread legends often have an nuance of playing it up a step. But this is two years apart. Which memory bank is the correct one? | |

The only thing I have noticed here was the fact that he didn't mention Michael Jackson to be a genius too. The 2 worked together so it seems strange he forgot to mention this. |

Maybe he just doesn't consider him a genius. I mean he could sing and dance sure, but he wasn't a "do it all" multi-instrument virtuoso where music just poured from him like Prince, Stevie or McCartney. All three have produced several albums each where they wrote everything, played everything and sang everything. Michael needed a team just to write his songs, let alone play all the instruments. | |
