He was also hosted by the Warriors (Thunder) on that trip. He sat courtside next to the owner, the cheerleaders danced to his music as well.

Some shows just have that synergy between the performer and the crowd, it felt like we had it from the first note. I've seen Prince in both arenas, outdoor ampitheathers and more intimate venues. The best experience I had were in the more intimate venues (specific example: Detroit Opera House - capacity 2,700). Sublime.

I was looking forward to Prince bringing P&M to Detroit at one of these smaller venues.

I was at that show. It was a total lovefest. Oakland was so off the charts! The setlist was amazing. He did The Beautiful Ones, which I had always been dying to hear him do on piano, I cried. My friend started crying when he did How Come You Don't Call Me. We left feeling like it was the best Prince show we had ever seen. We knew it was special.

A month later he was gone. We are really glad we have this final memory of him, to say the least.
