Lady Cab Driver Live Version - Detroit 11/30/1982 I've been listening to this track again, and am I the only one who's hearing this performed almost as a mashup with Modernaire in the second act? Once Prince says, "Dez Dickerson, lead guitar, GIVE IT UP!" at ~2:40, and then Dez mashes his solo...right after that going into the "second act" of LCD the guitar work immediately sounds like that of Modernaire, no?
And at the end of this second act, does the "wooshing" effect at ~7:10 not sound the same as that which closes-out Modernaire at ~3:30?
Love both tracks, but it definitely seems like a bit of an early medley with the two songs to my ears.

It absolutely is an interpolation of Modernaire U fall in love 2 fast and hate 2 soon
And take 4 granted the feeling’s mutual

i don't get it you mention Dez but you forgot Prince's guitar solo starting from 5min 20 sec.Prince played a much better solo than Dez ,how come you didn't mention that? i was sure when i've seen the thread but anyway take a listen. too bad Prince didn't play lead on every show on that song
