Purple Rain Deluxe - Removed from streaming?

It looks like PR Deluxe set has been removed from Youtube Music and Youtube itself as a whole album. The singles from the album Father Song, Our Destiny and Electric Intercourse are still available though. confused Luckily I already had it uploaded on my hard drive to stream.

It is still on Tidal as a whole.

Is it still available anywhere else?

AMEN
There is nothing like having the physical copy.
Then you dont have to worry about songs getting removed from streaming services.

GOOD.. That shit drives me NUTS...
In my day we saved GOOD HARD money to hear songs... (OR patiently waited for the DJ to take requests)

NOW u can log into any streaming service or youtube and its CONVIENTLY at your fingertips.

Does this mean the estate is ramping up to fix their mistake by giving Purple Rain a real deluxe reissue? This Purple Rain they just removed was garbage with garbage sound. Good riddance to bad rubbish.

Why is it so difficult to upload an avatar?

This is why it's always better to own the things you like.

When it comes to music, get the physical thing or buy/download digitally. Streaming has its uses but ultimately is just a glorified, intangible rental service where things change on a whim.

What an odd thing to be angry about. Time moves forwards.

Amen to that.

Remember all the folks who were PO'd when the NPGMC went away - and took all the DRM music they bought with it? I kept asking, "Why didn't you rip that stuff when you had the chance? It's been out there for years!" and they just kept whining about their "lifetime membership."

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Time does move forward . . . BUT, buying music inherently affects how you perceive the music. Plus, there's a feeling of ownership and of supporting the artist that is missing nowadays.

I use Spotify and Amazon Music too, but I bought PR Deluxe, Originals, P&M 1983 and 1999 SDE. (I didn't buy SOTT:SDE because of cost, but a friend gave me their extra download code).

As per usual, someone makes a post without really doing any research and setting people's emotions aflame.

This album is still available for streaming and any google can tell you that.

No need to be rude, they addressed your question as to whether or not it was still available for streaming. They didn't make any counter claim that it was still available on YouTube, so I don't know why you're upset. x

RIP sad

That is because the singles are streaming on youtube..however Wonderful Ass, Love And Sex etc are not. Our Destiny and Electric Intercourse is streaming because they are singles...but not the album tracks on youtube at least.

Dunno for sure yet, but it would be a good thing if they did.

It is a way of acknowledging one of their mistakes.

It'd be a start.

.

But yes, buying stuff gives ore security than relying on third parties.

Please think about that one.
