Electric Intercourse sheet music Does piano sheet music to Electric Intercouse exist? Can't seem to find anything online. I've just stared learning piano, and it's the song I want to learn above all others! |

For an experienced piano player, that song is not difficult but for someone just starting maybe learning the fundamentals of piano might be better? A good teacher would also suggest that. If you're an experienced piano player, then go for it.

Havent tried it on piano but broken down to its basic elements its a fairly standard I IV V vi progression.
According to this its in C
https://chordu.com/chords-tabs-electric-intercourse-id_f3jXrrjpBpc
C F C F G Am Fm C and so on
Try to figure out the embellishments (ususally adding D to the C and F chords) by ear through trial and error but I dont know the awesome "mash it" jazz chord he uses (Fm9?).
Im sure some the musicians here can point you in the right direction.

It's all diatonic C major chords aside from the occasional unexpected B7. I would say you'd get a lot closer to the sound by making the C and F chords major 7th chords. If you're not a music theory person, here they are: Cmaj7 = CEGB Fmaj7 = FACE B7 = BD#F#A
That's from just listening without an instrument, but I assure you those chords and chord qualities are correct. |

Really encourage you to figure this one out, as I've found it's a song that translates well to a solo keyboard and vocal performance (for my own pleasure).
I learned it after I got a new keyboard and was fiddling with presets and discovered that one sound (based on a Fender Rhodes, I think?) just reminded my of this song. That's a thing quite often, i find.
So I worked out the chords and got a passable imitation. It turns out that it's just a really satisfying experience belting out lines like "Baby, U shock my wires, with a sexual electricity extraordinaire", with the chord changes. Plus that line has some lovely phrasing with 'sexual electricity' that feels like it shouldn't work, but then really does.
So I can't sing or play well at all, but I get a lot of fun from it. Stick at it.
The live version obvs, not the studio take (which is OK, but really underhwhelming after the rawness of the long circulating live one) |

My teacher seems to think I'll be fine with it. |

My favourite version is Birmingham 2014.
I'm not quite at the stage of figuring songs out for myself yet. But I look forward to that day. |

Yeah, I can imagine it being satisfying. I hope to get there. |

If your teacher feels that way, then great! I did change my post the other day. I just assumed you were a beginner. |

It was a correct assumption. She seems to think I'm a fast learner. I guess we'll see.
As the sheet music for The Beautiful Ones is readily available, I'm starting with that. Which I've just realised means I've bumped Electric Intercourse for The Beautiful Ones just like Prince did on Purple Rain |
