seeing some of his clothes and shoes in person on display at Paisley Park is shocking because of how tiny his clothes and shoes look...i know he was small but seeing his clothes up close, i was still taken aback at how little his garments and shoes are

There's some Little Richard influence in his clothing choices. Also, the pompadours were LR.

I can see why he probably wouldn't. When Little Richard allegedly became 'ex Gay' he started trying to save Prince. He showed up at the PR movie premiere with his little bible... So I probably wouldn't acknowledge him either. Prince and Little Richard were never friends...
I'm thinking it was moreso Louis Wells, the designer who was influenced by Little Richard, and brought in further influence. Prince was already inspired by the Amadeus movie and another influence by 1980/81 during this touring the new wave in Europe

Little Richard could be alot. I think the early pompadours and some of Prince's wild piano playing was LR-inspired; maybe a little Jerry Lee Lewis, too. (Sinbad's show in 1998)
