I personally would love a new album maybe a multi disc set of studio cuts from the 91-2016 period

to include some of the fantastic songs which we have heard which have yet to be released and some that we have not heard but are known to exist & some totally unheard of if they exist.....

Here are some examples

Angie

The Jam

Strawberries

School Yard

Born 2 Die

Welcome 2 America

Good Pussy

Turn Me Loose

Check The Record

Same Page Different Book

Strength

We Live (2 Get Funky)

Good Dick & A Job

Livin' 2 Die

Love..... Thy Will Be Done (Great Gatsby Version)

The Mad Pope

Stone

Sleazin'

Wanderlust

Welcome 2 The Dawn (Non Acoustic)

....

Free Urself could also be included as it needs a proper home

he might have better luck if he was drummin with his Dick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh interesting!!!! I was just going off the info below from PRINCEVAULT

Angie is an unreleased cover version of the song by The Rolling Stones (from the 1973 album Goats Head Soup, also released as a single in 1973), believed to have been recorded by SymbolSmallerBlue.png in early 1994, at Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota. It was included as the eighth track on an early 1994 untitled album (believed to have been known as "The Gold Album" ), but was removed as the album was worked on further to become The Gold Experience. SymbolSmallerBlue.png's version has been mentioned by sources as being 19 minutes long; it is likely the version included on the album was an edit, but no information has been verified. The track remains unreleased.

he might have better luck if he was drummin with his Dick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

From a Housequake FB post:

Michael Howe announces a new Prince Super Deluxe Edition and a new "standalone" release in 2021

He announced this on a recent Dutch interview.

However the clip is not available as of now, maybe they will reupload.

https://www.nporadio2.nl/...r0WOTS7kFc

.

What is a 'standalone' album? (i.e. this is not 'new' explicitly)

What is the news here?

Mr. NDA (and proud of it) should give details or stay out of the media.

He needs his time to provide us with professional quality instead of the slight crap he pushed until now.

Yes, he can contact me to find out details as he did not read my posts before.

They lost the momentum for these back in 2016.

And these shows do circulate.

They don’t compare to the soundboard though. The LRC/dirty mind single online release sounds stunning. It’s time to release a set from this tour.

Imagine a bookend of the Paisley Park shows in full inc DVD + the 2 final Atlanta shows...I don't think I could handle that much emotion tbh.

I bought 1999 SD, but hesitated on SoTT SD (price, packaging). Would still love to have All My Dreams on CD, could it potentially be a part of a future Prince package, I guess a Parade SD would be the best prospect?

What would it chamge. ? You wouldn't buy it anyway.
And why would they release it again?
People here would get mad and open numerous useless threads about how the estate are naughty people.

They'll never do it.

Too expensive.

Oversaturation.

Not their mission, strategy, plan or whatever they think they have.

Too expensive really? I think they could sell it for 50 €.

They are looking for the (old) commercial successes from what I can understand: PR, 1999, SOTT, ...

Whether these are still successful in 2020/2021 is their gamble.

They do not want to disturb their pace or rather, do not want to disturb the market.

Else they would release more.

It is not that hard, even a b00tleggar can do it.

Sometimes even better.

.

This means they follow a fairly conservative strategy towards sales, not one of pure profit maximization.

I would love for Lovesexy or Gold Experience but I know that won't happen. I would also love a piano and a mic show. He was planning to mix master and release the ATL shows so might as well do that.

'standalone album' does imply that it is not 'originals volume 2'?

Here in the Uk, the 5th anniversary of Bowies death got a lot of coverage and the estate put out two unreleased tracks.

If the Prince estate followed suit, an April release of the P&M Final Atlanta show, or a posthumous completed 'Black is the new black' would seem fitting.

They could then put out a SDE in September.

We may hate it but I think that there's a "morbid" mass marketing for Prince last concerts.
