I am sitting back and digging some recordings from Xenophobia and noticing how annoying the fans are. They hooted and screamed at any little irrelevant word that Prince and Sheila E uttered on cue like so many trained monkeys. The readily offered ridiculous amounts of obligatory applause for the utopian, psuedo spiritual philosophy that was espoused after shitting on their brothers and sisters on the line outside the gig only a few hours ago. Some of them didnt even know whay they were clapping. I often wonder how taken aback would Prince be after one of those lines that required an affirmation appluase from the crowd did not actually generate such a response. What if they simply applauded after he actually performed a peice of music and not after he makes some cute comment regarding the removal of profanity in well known lyrics. After singing "The Truth", Prince says something about our expectation of the old curse word lyrics says more about us than about him. This means nothing since we all expect the lyrics the way he did them on the records that we bought. What else would we expect? The mindless sheep applauded like he had just gave them money.

Well, sometimes it is good to respond to what Prince says, because remember when he said "I love U 2 but not the band" and noone said anything and he thought we were a punch of stupids that didn't understand?
