What is your favourite version of How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore?

I would say take 2 from 1999 deluxe if i never heard those 1999 tour live versions.

The early live versions where the b section of the song is only Jill Jones Dez and Lisa on back vox and tambourine and Prince add libbing stuff like: Why can't you call me sometime,it's one lousy mother fu.kin dime .So my favourite version is the one where Prince sings and talk about his new girl being a nurse and she wants to give him a full body exemination.Prince there is nothing wrong with your body...Than Prince would say to the audiance :What you think baby,i mean check this body out.And as he continues he finish with :Baby why don't you come to my door,we don't have to do it on the bed,we can do it on the floor.Thats the version from the circulating pro shoot video from the early leg of 1999 tour. On the second leg they did a full band version in the b section(like the b section he did on ONA 2002 tour) but it killed the vibe and intimacy of acappela b section.

So whats your favourite and why ?

BTW i was never too fond of Hits b side version ,simply because Prince was banging too hard on the piano keys.

Gotta go with the B-Side version. That track is flawless.

Most of the versions of it are cool since it's a good song to start with but the b-side version is a 10/10
