Allen Beaulieu said that it was Allen's cigarette and not Prince's in the bandana photo. I haven't heard from any legit source that Prince ever smoked. The cigarette in the Jamie Starr photo (also taken by Allen) was not one Prince was smoking himself. If Allen took it, it was probably Allen's cigarette that time also. At the time, everything in the photo was to make him look as different as possible from Prince. The photo probably wasn't used back then because it would have been obvious that it was Prince.

There's a lot of bad info out there. He did not smoke. He was too protective of his voice, especially that upper register.

IF he held a cigarette "like a pro", how else do you hold done? After all, he watched his mother and most adults of that time smoke. But there are no photos of ashtrays in his personal spaces. Ever.
