- All true. But i'm with peace now, knowing we will never get it all. I don't need all the shows of every tour for example. Just sayin' -
No, we surely don't. | |

I would say that I don't need every show from every tour. Or even every alt. mix of every studio track for that matter. But put it out there, and I'll sure want them. A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

. Ahhhh...! That clarifies the situation a bit. I was thinking of comparing live shows from the sounboard recordings and thus being able to more objectively find the better shows. (no recording quality issues, your own emotions, etc)

- That i mean. I don't need to 'compare' these shows. But just 'one show', in a simply good quality, that's enough for me. No need here for same shows. I have so many 'same shows' in different quality, that I never/ barely listen to. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. . Who does quality control at a live concert? At the record company? Please show you read my previous posts as I am quite vocal about lack of quality in certain areas. .
. Please call someone else like that. .
. As it was the first and they did not have full access. .
. Sure, but quality varies. .
. Hmmyes. But how long can I reminisence and how long can I compare soundbaords?

Isnt it legit to ask what the plan is? THats the real issue here? Why taking part in a podcast and giving to info at all.

- That! Well, I have a life besides Prince (music). And that is AS imporant too. Some I know have hundreds if not thousands of Prince bootlegs, same concerts in many different qualities. I mean, really? Though we have to respect these people more than ever. They love to spend their life to it all. So they can provide us the right jam, if we stay cool. - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. . You do? You're sure? . Some I know have hundreds if not thousands of Prince bootlegs, same concerts in many different qualities. . yes! .
. If one jam is good. Then more jams is more good.

I agree that the sequencing was excellent. It was one of the collections that really solidified my love of P's music. I wasn't super aware of different eras at the time, and it really flowed for me.

They MUST remaster this collection of songs. It's great but the '80's tracks are now so loud they feel forced and are hard to listen to. "Sexual Suicide" nearly blows my ears off everytime it comes on in one of my playlists and I love the song. Let's hope there is this level of care with the Sony re-issues.

On the other hand, Prince would often pull songs out of the vault for use on his latest album, and I'm sure there are many occasions when we don't even know it happened.
I certainly had no idea that A Million Days was recorded in 1995 (and by the time of Musicology, my knowledge of Prince's music had expanded exponentially).

That, and the fact that while I'd had most of the 80's tracks on boots for years by 1998, it took me about a week to get used to them coexisting with the 90's tracks when I bought CB, and to admit that it flowed perfectly as some sort of party album. I'm still amazed to see that after 22 years, some of us haven't gotten used to it, but hey, regardless, CB was what it was and we all gotta live with it. - I do agree with you, but like you say, it's a very personal approach. I think I ever listened to ''Crystal Ball'' once. Today I will give it a spin again after 22 years, just to be sure what i'm nagging about. I do remember that I rearranged the album to my personal taste. to have three different albums. Burn it onto CDR's and copied the artwork. So it would match my taste of the album. - Here, I found it on my old computer: - Album I : 1. Crystal Ball 2. Dream factory 3. Last Heart 4. Movie Star 5. Make Your Mama Happy - 6. An Honest Man. 7. Sexual Suicide 9. Crucial 10. Good Love 11. Cloreen Bacon Skin - Album II : 1. Days Of Wild 2. 2morrow 3. Acknowledge me 4. What's My Name 5. So Dark - 6. Interactive 7. Calhoun Square 8. Da Bang 9. Strays Of The World 10. Goodbye - Album III : 1. Pussy Control 2. Get Loose 3. Poom Poom 4. Ripopgodazippa 5. Love Sign - 6. 18 & Over 7. Hide The Bone 8. Tell Me How U Wanna B Done 9. She Gave Her Angels 10. The Ride - For some reason I can't help it to keep splitting up albums in A sides and B-sides. Old school ! -
