Disney Pixar Soul (2020 Film) In the film there is a board of name labels of (perhaps important) people in recent human history such as Abraham Lincoln. There are names in various languages. One of the names right in the middle of the board is Prince Rodgers Nelson. Was a nice nod by Pixar, especially as the narrative involves (jazz) music. Good film too.

. So you picked up that little detail, yet somehow completely missed the point of that scene? (Then again, you also managed to misspell Prince's name.) . These were the name labels of people who had tried to inspire soul #22 but failed. .

About the film though, this prompted me to watch it last night with my wife Enjoyed the humour, proper Disney I don't recommend watching it if you are drunk, I only had a couple of Guinness and the concepts/visuals made my head spin. I missed the Prince reference to be honest but I'm not that observant, just enjoyed the film. Paul | |

True. But give Bart a break. He's only human, like the rest of us. I did add a 'd' into Rogers without knowing / thinking about it. Late night Crimbo typing after a loooooooooooooooong day cooking / feeding the family.
Bart, I didn't offer a scene anaylsis / meaning / deconstruction though, so seems odd that you made the rather large leap to deduce that I "missed the point of the scene completely"... when I didn't put forward that detail.
For those of you who haven't seen it yet, Soul is an excellent film with some really interesting ideas. Hope you all had a lovely Christmas. The Earth is but one country and mankind its citizens. |
