Do you listen to the remixes of a specific Prince song rather than the Prince song itself?

For example, the song "Batdance" - I like it, but often am listening to the Batdance and Purple Party mixes.

I don't know if this is weird in some way, or maybe I'm just open minded?

Sure Batdance is already a remix, it's fun that he continued it over several different iterations.

I like the QDIII remix of Letitgo with that Dorothy Parker sample. I never listen to the original though

I like the Razormaid Remix of 'Housequake' more than the Album version.
And Shep Pettibone's Remix of Sheena Easton's 'Eternity'.

Let It Go Cavier Street EDIT is great,it dated much better than the album version.

If made the song much better with the great synth bass line and wah rhythm guitar,it had kind of Jamiroquai vibe

And what makes me confused is it actually sounds like Prince is playing synth bass and funk guitars on this remix

I listen to the acoustic mix of Space way more often than I listen to the album version.

Letitgo (On the Cool-Out Tip Radio Edit) as the album version has a bunch of distortion / noise that makes it unlistenable especially with IEMs. One of the best outside remixes done IMO.

I wish there was a longer version of the On the Cool-Out Tip Radio Edit. I'm hoping that we'll get it on an SDE of Come.

Also does Thieves 8 min version count as a remix or is that really the full length version and the album version just an edit of that 8 min version?
