Colonised mind: Is this the proof that he really didnt leave a will at the end?

Colonised mind is the deepest song he's ever written and every line is a truth. I was listening to it and this really did make me wonder if he was just saying it straight, there really was no will?

Upload a joint venture record deal
It's just another way another man can still sleep
While he's sticking you with the bill
Download, a temporary acquisition
Of fleeting fame and fortune
Nothing to leave in your will, hey, hey, hey.

Such a truthful, deep, brilliant song,

Miss him every day.

Wanna talk about it, colonized mind
Upload the evolution principle
You see a rock on the shore and say
It's always been there
Download no responsibility
Do what you want, nobody cares
Upload, the master race idea
Genetically disposed to rule the world
Download a future full of isolated
Full of isolated, boys and girls
Upload the 2 party system
The lesser of 2 dangers, illusion of choice
Download their form of fascism
Nothing really ever changes
You never had a voice
Listen to me one time
If you look, you're sure gonna find
Throughout mankind's history
A colonized mind
The one in power makes law
Under which the colonized fall
Without God, it's just the blind leading the blind
Upload, a joint venture record deal
It's just another way another man can still sleep
While he's sticking you with the bill
Download, a temporary acquisition
Of fleeting fame and fortune
Nothing to leave in your will, hey, hey, hey, hey
Upload a child with no father
Download no respect for authority
Upload a child with no mother
Download a hard time showing love
If you look, you're sure gonna find
Throughout mankind's history
A colonized mind
The one in power makes law
Under which the colonized fall
Without God it's just the blind leading the blind

Plot twist:
They found the will in his vault and they destroyed it so they can make money.

I really thought this too. I don't know I think this song is very honest.

No I dont think life is a book thanks! If I were an artist maybe I'd write what I felt too or about what I was doing

Well, he "borrowed heavily from Miriam Makeba's "Quit it" without giving credit.

its about how white peoples have gone around the world, colonizing (stealing) land they didnt have and contributing to the fall of the people of those lands, with their laws and lies

That part is obvious.
How does it go from there to the record industry though? And he criticises joint venture deals, of the type he signed a few times, after this song too IIRC. If he was that against it, he should have gone back to mail order deals like he did with crystal ball.
And the part about God... he does know a lot of colonisers used religion as justification right?
Song is a muddle.
Princes political critique songs were a mess.
He never seemed to quite understand what he was trying to say.

I think it is an interesting song but it is largely self-referential.

I know they are similar but do you know for 100% certain that he heard this song? Is it even a tiny bit possible that he came up with it independantly?

RIP sad

That is not the lyric...

Upload, a joint venture record deal

It's just another way for the man to steal

While he's sticking you with the bill.

I’d be 99% sure he heard it.
Musically very similar, the vocal patterns similar and includes ‘no responsibility’ (as Colonized Mind does).
.
It doesn’t make me enjoy it any less though, still a great track

Come on! It's too similar to be be a coincidence.

And it's not the only song in his later career where he "borrowed" without giving credit. He had a phase where he had problems to compose great melodies. He still could create great funk jams, but not great songs.

Come on what? I'm not claiming anything, just putting the question out there. Unless Prince told us, we can't say either way with absolute certainty.
