an actually intense scene,

People say the acting wasn't good, and no I would not expect it for this type of movie

but I think there are many scenes where the acting was really good. This is one of those scenes

I'm glad Mr. Magnoli didn't have Wendy deliver that line while in tears. I liked her toughness.

I agree. This entire scene felt real to me when I first saw the movie.

And be honest, how many of us have used some of those lines in person to someone? "Wow, okay, you think about this..." or even looking at our mate and saying, "you tired, too?" I've certainly said, "Doesn't that mean anything to you? I mean, doesn't that make you feel like shit? I'm so tired of this, I'm really tired of it."

"eye don’t really care so much what people say about me because it is a reflection of who they r."

The Kids reactions at the Home were very good acting scenes. He's practiced that dark, tragic, pain for years though songs, videos and tours.

But the scene where he comes home and his father shoots himself were extremely good

Yes, the energy felt a bit dangerous, like Wendy knew she was walking into something and everyone around The Kid and Wendy were responding naturally
