This little track is great and has been on a loop for me for a few days. A mixture of sweet and melancholy which is really effective and so simple! and so unlike more ambitious stuff like Adonis and Batsheeba or Wally or cosmic day.

This track could have fit on many albums, but as far as I know was never given consideration in any tracklists. It is songs like these that really make me love listening to Prince and excited by the prospect of hearing more of his outtakes.
Perhaps I am reaching a bit, but this seems to me to to be his reflection on the break up of the Revolution.

Perfect Song...the cool understated funk, brilliant bassline. Sounds influenced by Sly. Can't believe he never released this...wud work in any Era.

The little chords and notes of the keyboards and guitar remind of another song... can't quite place it. Not talking about Eye No or The Ball.

I'm really digging this one too, although I don't like the way it just starts, so I added a bit of the instrumental lead-in to the beginning and it works quite well. I doubt Prince would of used it for release with such an abrupt start.
