I possibly passed by prince in 2003 I was downtown Toronto and when I walked by flow 93 on Yonge street, I passed by a guy with sunglasses, heels and a dark red shirt and did a double take. I seriously wondered if it was prince but didn’t want to act silly in the process and thought maybe it’s not him cause he had no security around. Sure enough a few months later, I heard he was living in Toronto, so maybe, maybe not. I did finally see him on tour in 2011

I once walked right by Prince at Paisley Park and didn't notice until we had passed shoulder to shoulder (we were walking in opposite directions from opposite ends of the concert hall). No one else was walking at the same time. I did a double take and watched him continue walking. My art book: http://www.lulu.com/spotl...ecomicskid

He was right behind (yes, behind) us at the Indigo2 aftershow on Sept. 10, 2007. My wife didn't notice him until I mentioned him to her ("Hey, Prince is right next to us."). That was fun.

Prince passed by me in 2002. Oberhausen or Stuttgart I recall. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Prince walked directly between my sister and me in 2002 during a soundcheck for One Nite Alone in Detroit.

I saw Prince - totally unexpected - in early 1989 at Tokyo's Narita Airport. A huge group of people and journalists were crowded around an exit gate. As I walked up to invesgigate Prince emerged in full Lovesexy relagia and was quickly whisked away by handlers/bodyguards, etc. It was a total shock as I was a huge Pricnce fan at the time and knew he was coming to Japan...but had no idea he'd be at the airport the same time I was... I didn't see the Lovesexy show but did see the Nude Tour show the next year...

I had a similar experience during Welcome 2 America tour LA. I know he like driving golf carts so after the concert was over I happened to be near the backstage area (but behind) and I saw from far away someone driving a golf cart bu I wasnt sure.
However fast forward, I did get a chance to meet him. I knew Andy Allo from LA open mic days and she messaged me if I could setup a private area for her and P to watch a poetry open mic that i volunteered at and where Andy used to frequent before she met him. No one in the audience knew that he was a few feet above in the soundstage overlooking the stage (it's a 99 seat theatre but we pack like 200 plus every week). He came in throught the back. I greeted him first and welcomed him to our place and the venue co founders were there, like 5 folks. One of them was was so excited he told Prince "I wanna thank you cause your music was the soundtrack to my life!"...and in a very Prince answer type way he responded back with "I know....mine too"
He stayed for most of the night and we told the audience afterwards that P was sittin a few feet above and behind them and they thought we were pulling their legs. "You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

That’s a cool experience you guys had, and funny enough I was involved with poetry open mics too before quarantine hit. Shared poems and songs(including one I wrote about prince with his song titles in them hehe) and made friends with a lot of writers and supported their work. That’s awesome prince got to go to one like a regular person

The closest I came to 'meeting Prince' was a photo taken with Jellybean Johnson at a FDeluxe gig, LOL! Or shaking hands with Nile Rodgers at North Sea Jazz Festival. I envy you guys! RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...

He was practically in my lap at the first Rio aftershow the weekend after his Super Bowl appearance. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

My work colleague swears that she saw Prince alone on a London Underground platform. I said that Prince would never travel alone on the London Underground without his bodyguards so I refuse to believe her.
