The Ride Undertaker vs. The Ride Crystall Ball Which version u like better? Both are very good but i go for The Undertaker version of The Ride. While on The Crystall Ball he does some cool stuff on guitar but kind of restrained , on The Undertaker version he just slays on guitar. And what he plays and how he plays it make me think that Prince took some psychodelics or something cause not onlt he plyed great, but his playin there is transcedental, outta of this world.

He recorded The Undertaker session late at night (or early in the morning, depending on how you look at it) and he doesn´t look like he´s on psychedelics at all. What makes you say that? I much prefer the Undertaker version of The Ride but I know that many fans don´t really like the guitar sound of that Undertaker session. I like it a lot and the Undertaker session often gets a very positive response from non-fans, too. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

I'm not saying he did it but it sounds he is on something because on The Undertaker because i want to make some gossip story, but every note, every lick sounds like Prince is in some different world, same thing when i liste to All Along The Watchtower. there are some cosmic vibes there,if you know what i mean.

The Manchester, England version with 3rd Eye Girl is pretty good too. He's acting wild with the guitar, holding it up in the air like Jimi and shit!
P still impresses me, even though I know he could do anything he wanted musically. His improv skills on guitar were perfecto!

This will always be my favourite version of this song. I must have watched this a million times. Still have the VHS too.
