THE REBELS 1979 project — any chance Prince original vocals exist?? Even if not, I still want the tracks released in pristine audio quality Here are the tracks that have shown up on bootlegs over the years (according to Princevault): LP The specific sequence of tracks is unknown, but tracks known to have been included are: Too Long Disco Away Thrill You Or Kill You You If I Love You Tonight The Loser Hard To Get untitled instrumental by Dez Dickerson (no title as such) untitled instrumental by André Cymone (no title as such) NOW, since many people here are SO certain that ‘I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man (1979)’ doesn’t sound like Prince in ‘79, (at least it don’t sound like his second studio album), maybe he originally wrote it for The Rebels and wisely decided to keep it? Either way, I hope they release these tracks ‘Cause ICNTTPOYM (1979), The Rebels tracks, Dirty Mind and some tracks from Controversy makes a damn good playlist

Are there actually versions with Prince vocals for all the tracks? I thought this was one of the rare cases where the other band members wrote most of the songs and played the instruments. I’m not sure that there would be a Prince vocal version of a song written by Dez or Andre for this project. "Love & honesty, peace & harmony"
