I fear so, I didn't think it would but when I realized yesterday that I haven't listened to it in a good 3 weeks, I think it may have to do with me not particularly being in a Prince mood these days, but also most likely with the fact that I was familiar with 90% of the material. I love All My Dreams with all my heart, but I've had this song for 29 years... This doesn't mean I won't revisit the set, I will of course, or that I regret listening to the boots, I'm glad I did, but yeah, it wasn't as exciting as it would if I got 3 CDs of studio material and 2 live shows I've never ever heard in any form or shape. Partly. The excitment of hearing uncirculating songs was huge, hearing songs I was already aware of, roughly 70%, was still good but not the same. It's just nice to have them in good quality. I've had to take a SOTT break as it started to get overwhelming with the huge number of songs to wade through. 3121... Don't U Wanna Come?

II never understood the pleasure there was in listening Prince bootlegs in mostly poor quality. If the man released an album every five years, like MJ, I would have understood. But the man released like two or three albums a year in the 90's/2000's. And it's not like every tracks out of it were already masterpiece... . With so much material being released officially, you have to have a huge appetite to stand all this and nevertheless try to find again more songs in a poor quality. . For me there is way too much material on SOTT deluxe. I would rather have 1 or 2 discs of the best unreleased tracks, make it more accessible price-wise, and sell it more. Frankly, half of the tracks were absolutely dispensable, and I didn't need to hear them or to know they even existed.

Co-sign and fullly agree, and I'm already afraid Parade SDE will be even more frustrating in this sense whenever it comes out.
Still, I don't regret a single effort to obtain boots back in the day. In fact I still love to keep an eye on that market for the odd thing here and there: studio, live, rehearsal, whatever.

At 42, the excitement I get from listening to new music is not the same as when I was a teenager, for multiple reasons: hormones (mainly), but also because my brain hadn't already been exposed to so much music back then. So I don't regret having heard all those outtakes back then instead of now.

For me the only track that comes close is Dot Parker with horns.

I can afford a 150$ boxset, and I have enough time to listen closely to the material presented here. But that excess of new dispensable material prevented most of the fans to buy it. So what s the point in making that relase more of a niche it already was.

. B00tleggars sell the discs of a set separately... I gues guess one has to wait for prices yo come down if you think that 'most fans' lack funds in your area. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

Yes in a way it did. New music ain't new if you already heard it no matter how much better the quality might be or if it's a different version.

. You'll never experience the same feelings because of new music like when you were in 1987. We're adults now, most of us behave that way. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

. I saw the product as what I described multiple times. A company bringing us a flawed product among other flawed releases. Their way of doing the SDE thing really spoils things in a big way. Same as Tudahl doing an update release as a softcover. Complete foolishness on all sides. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.
