I know the feeling, sometimes you have to get immersed in it all

The bluray release is worth checking out.It is worth it if your tv is one of the new 4k ones. Maybe one day there will be a true remaster with deleted scenes. There was recently a 4k bluray disc released for "Jaws" and fron what I have read online, the remaster is quite impressive and it a older film than Purple Rain

Why don't you watch the bluray instead?

I regret selling my DVD set when I got the blu-ray because some of the special features are crappy resolution but on DVD it would upscale it but Blu-ray doesn't so they look worse than the DVD did - go figure!

- Found it. The alternative opening for UTCM. Quite funny, but unfortunately a piece of mediocre acting and predictable story telling. But anything is good to see our sexy Prince do and move. I even heard some (new) snippets of music underneath it. - Thank you once again. It's good to have this community. When you think you've seen and heard it all.... - "The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves. Men can still be attracted to a non-hetero sexual woman! Especially if their Sun Signs are in harmony!

The best part of the alternate opening is that Christopher's first line to his "client" is "We had fun, didn't we?". Nicely tied in to his last line and showed the character's arc had come full circle.

- Exactly. but it's all so silly put on pellicule. I mean, turning his back to kiss that woman twice, like in old movies is... ok for an homage to old movies. But with his clothes of the 1986 era, that hat... i mean, NOT convincing for a 'gigolo'. He does not look like a gigolo AT ALL. But then again, that podcast that was shows a while ago, with those three people commenting on how bad this movie is just up to a point where it becomes intersting and good again, I just loved that. And it made me have a look again. He should've given The Revolution more appearances. And I'll never understand that unspoken soft gay relationship betwen him and Tricky. lol But yeah, the alternative intro suits it all some how. -

Yeah I didn't notice that until recent years. Its noticable to me in the scene when tricky is talking to Christopher in the bathtub. You can see tricky lean over trying to look at his penis at one point.
