NOW, since many people here are SO certain that ‘I Could Never Take The Place of Your Man (1979)’ doesn’t sound like Prince in ‘79, (at least it don’t sound like his second studio album), maybe he originally wrote it for The Rebels and wisely decided to keep it?

Are there actually versions with Prince vocals for all the tracks? I thought this was one of the rare cases where the other band members wrote most of the songs and played the instruments. I’m not sure that there would be a Prince vocal version of a song written by Dez or Andre for this project.
