purple rain therapy I'm starting rehearsals for my senior recital for my bachelors degree at music school today and I'm fucking nervous. I have to be the music director for my own band and I don't want to mess up. I'm listening to the Purple Rain live at Syracuse version an hour before I start while sending out some last minute emails to my band and something about this song feels like home and it's making me feel alright. If one man can create a performance like that, then I can do this. I've listened to this song and this version 1,000 times but, something about it today is hitting harder than before.

Prince music and videos are therapy for me - as an older millennial, it’s not some thing most people in my life understand but I really have never cared about that.
