Now that I'm in my 30s, Prince in his 30s makes A LOT more sense to me.

I became a fan in my teens.

I remember listening to Lovesexy and going...what?

I remember taking personal issue to his work in the 90s, as an emcee.

And I defintely thought the brother was on a miss marathon with the type of shit he wore during from 88 to 98.

Yet..at 35..I get it lol

Granted..I'll still pass on some of them outfits..but seriously, even down to a lot of his lyrics in his 30s. I'm sure this says more about the maturation of a fan, but I just felt it needed to be said.

Anybody else have this experience?

A complete 180 from "TF is he doing?!?" - to - "...yaknow actually...this is kinda dope.."

Fret not that you frighten or offend. Invite the world to dance and marvel at who joins.

Yeah for the longest time I didn’t care much about his 90s work and thought 70s, 80s and some 00s was listenable. But then I discovered the albums diamonds and pearls and gold experience and loved the title tracks and also am a big fan of the song my name is prince. Was in my late 20s though at that point, in my late 30s now

Prince 1990- is extremely underrated. The problem is that it took the average consumer a lot of work to edit and find a lot of the brilliance. Most music fans have never heard The Exodus, The War, Come, his acoustic piano/guitar albums, etc.
