(I shouldn't have asked the question in the first place. - Just wanted to point out that ''Purple Rain'' as a superstar album in 1984, proved that the general audience was capable to receive a new and daring sound with edgy and rawer songs, so to speak, with daring lyrics and musical directions, driven by images through stunning live performances and looks and most important, the movie... ''Thirller'' on the other hand, another great superstar album, was thè perfect ready made sing-a-long pop album, unique in it's kind too, accesable to all, a stunning album driven by the image of video clips & short movies... The only thing I 'feel' about both albums, is that Prince's ''PR'' album, is an album with a concept and story from beginning to end. ''Thriller'' suits more like a greatest hits, already when it was released. You can switch all tracks and it still remains that sort of greatest hits album i believe. - Same goes for the ''Sign O The Times'' album. You barely can't stirr it, switch it, change it imho. It's 'baked' in my brain the way it is made.
