Prince & Anna Fantastic "Mural" Downtown MPLS I'm not sure if this has been posted about previously, but I didn't immediately find any verification if it has. I can't believe I didn't post about it the moment I saw it. Guess I was so busy freaking TF out!
I put the word mural inside of quotes because it's not a painting (is that a mural qualification?) but rather a full-sized photo, located on the corner of 1st Ave & 1st St. in downtown Minneapolis, and it is a Thing. Of. Beauty.
I believe it went up in 2017, or maybe right away in 2016. I was with a friend in a car driving through downtown Minneapolis one day, and out of the corner of my eye, a block over, I could see what I thought must have been a hallucination. I've never been able to find out who put it up (one of the nearby businesses? A person?) because there's no readily-accessible information about why it's there, unless it's one of those things that you can't see because it's right in front of your face. (I excel in those situations. )
It just so totally rocks beause he's there representing Minneapolis right in his garment, clutching an unknown (by most, like the general public, you know - THOSE types. haha. TBH, I didn't immediately recognize who she was either. Guilty. Take a strike off my PRN Stan Validation card.) And he's rocking his 'studious' look, which is not a PRN commonplace image you see every day. And the snapshot suggests it was probably bedlam, with pens thrusted at him, maybe a local news reporter in the background, and Prince is just clutching his girl's hand like "just stay right here next to me, darling. No need to be afraid. These are just my local folk. We'll zip right through this."
And I'm sorry if my photo inserts look crappy, complete with watermarks and all. I've always had difficulty trying to add pix to my posts here. Not sure what my problem is. | |

Anna(whom I partied with) is just as much as beautiful now as she was then.
