I don't have much to add other than there WAS a thread about it that has since been removed. Unsure why. 🍢

Suddenly I got this great idea and searched on Princevault; the result: https://www.princevault.c...f_Graffiti Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry.

It's a great melody. I hope there is more. .

It honestly sounds to me like it was recorded earlier than 1987 but hey.

I love P at the piano. I've often wondered how many of those cassettes he has taped of just him musing at the piano like P&M 83. Would love to have a collection of several of those recordings.

He also mentions a "bridge of graffiti" at the beginning of Eye No. Very cool to hear another piece of the puzzle!

Probably only heard with special software or 5.1 spread. From PV: During the song's opening, one can faintly hear "Near the bridge of graffiti there lives a band whose soul belongs to god." Although the song Graffiti Bridge had already been recorded in July 1987, this is the first mention of Graffiti Bridge on a Prince release.

So interesting. blah blah blah

Well I've definitely always heard the "belongs to God" part, but the rest? Nope. But I've got marinara for brains and couldn't make out the Nelson Mandela thing in TSILABYF.
