I stopped connecting with Prince's band around 2001. Sometimes folks stood out. Cora Coleman-Dunham and husband did a bit, but I never connected with Cassandra. Renato is great, but I hated his Smooth Jazz Lite 98.3FM - The Light influence on Prince. Chance was there then gone. I never enjoyed Kat as a guitarist, and we all have a Kirk story. I guess in some ways they became much less interesting characters compared to anyone before 1997.

Least liked for me is Renato Neto. It was a bad fit for the ONA/Musicology era IMHO. Didn't like his corny pseudo-jazzy noodling nor his synth patches.

He often annoyed me with his jazzy style, but he had the chops.

This is disrespectful to Andy. She is an artist. One of the better voices and songwriters that he has ever worked with.

Gotta be Lisa at the top spot ... I'm sure I read an interview where someone said she was the one person whose skills Prince couldn't replicate
