Is there a version of Strange Relationship that includes Camille vocals? After creating a Camille album playlist with the officially released tracks, Strange Relationship seems to be the only track with normal Prince vocals. Is there a Camille version out there?

The SOTT version.

Sidenote: I have a JPG of all the songs on DF/CB/SOTT, and it's a chart of what songs were on what configuration. "Strange Relationship" is the only song to be on all 3 Dream Factory configs (April, June, July 1985), Camille, Crystal Ball 1986, and then SOTT.

I do think SOTT is the version that is Camille or anything else. Some of the Camille songs aren't quite as Camille-esque as others anyway.

Isn't it interesting, though, that the 1987 release has the Camille vocal prominent in the beginning, but constant throughout, yet the 1987 Shep Pettibone remix has the Camille vocal present but rather buried in the mix?

I find that to be an odd choice, frankly. Makes me wonder if the *Camille* album release would have been mixed with a much more prominent Camille vocal track...

Agreed; it's my favorite version of the song...except not in the Camille voice.

Kind of like Electric Intercourse -- if an equivalent mix doesn't exist elsewhere in the Vault, I kind of actually want a Frankenmix between the two versions (music of EI studio version paired with lower-register vocals of live & rehearsal versions, Shep remix of SR with Camille vocals pushed to top of mix/the other vocal tracks buried)
