Nevaeh Ni Ecalp A reversed Maybe everybody knows, but FYI: if you play Nevaeh Ni Ecalp A in reverse mode, you could listen another version of A Place In Heaven, different from the other two. |

Also, if you play every song ever recorded by anyone, backwards, you get an alternate version of that song!!!! Free bonus tracks galore! |

I reversed it on Audobe Audition and love the way it sounds. It inspired me to reverse "Darlin' Nikki", "Baby I'm a star" and "Girl" as well. Did I miss any? Making love and music are the only things worth fighting for. |

Yup, did it too... the reversed Nevaeh Ni Ecalp A reversed is A Place in Heaven sung by Wendy & Lisa (without drums/percussion like in the Prince-version).

Btw... the book says the voices are by Wendy & Lisa. But are we sure? The high voice seems more Jill Jones |

It is nice.
All it's missing is the Man from Another Place saying "Let's Rock" and Laura Palmer whispering into Agent Cooper's ear...

Brilliant reference. Also, the "Swedish bookstore scene" in Top Secret. |

Like the end of "Darling Nikki" start and end of "baby I'm a star" and "girl" and parts of the the Purple Rain concert he liked messing with people. Particularly with Darling Nikki... It seemed be a bit of atonement for the song. "Keep on shilling for Big Pharm!" |

Use this version to come right after “Visions” then right into “Dream Factory” with that Welcome To Holly Rock intro and it works like a charm.
Then include the full A Place In Heaven (Lisa) second to last track |

I didn't realize Audacity is free. I'm considering downloading and trying to reverse the song myself. I'm not very technically competent, but I should be able to figure it out.
For those of that have downloaded Audacity, does it come with bundled with other "partner software"? I hate that crap.

It was a pain in the ass, but figured it out on Audacity. Beautiful rendition of the song. I titled it 'Nevaeh Ni Ecalp A placE iN heaveN' [Edited 9/28/20 20:12pm] "I like to watch." |

In another thread @lustmealways provided the following instructions for using Audacity:
- import the file - go to the effects tab - select reverse - then export it
Is that how you did it?
I downloaded the Audacity software, but when I imported the song file I got an error message saying Audacity doesn't support its format. I'd downloaded the digital edition from Apple so my file .m4a. Audacity telling me I need to covert it to a different format first, such as .wav. I gave up for the time being. My physical discs should arrive from Amazon tomorrow. I'll import the .wav from there and try it again.

I thought tonight that I want to reverse the little backwards guitar flourish near the end of "The Ballad of Dorothy Parker." Sorry, it's the Hodgkin's talking. |

Import, save project. Then open project, effects, reverse, save. Then export.

Someone should really reverse it, then upload to YouTube.
On an unrealated note, it's a shame we can't share unofficial links here.

I just did it. I didn't bother with "save project" step. I just reserved and then exported it.
With my first attempt the output file saved at a low bit rate (183 kbps). It took me a minute to figure out how to change those settings, but I was able to adjust the output to higher quality (320 kbps).
I'm glad I took the time to do this. I'm technically inept, but this was super simple.
