Indeed - loving it The HQ-er formerly known as krokostimpy.

Nice! But isn't a track like this a little out of place on a set like this? I don't know if it was intended for a female singer, but maybe it would have fitted better on an Originals X set. [Edited 9/17/20 8:15am]

Oh shit!!! This bops! I’m liking it way more than I thought I would. Don’t know how you could listen to it without bobbin your head. That pocket!! [Edited 9/17/20 8:22am] "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."

Interesting! Didn't expect this one! Not a bad track, feels like Emotional Pump in a way. Very distinctly that production style he used going into 1987-1989. A bit be-boppy. Not my style but I love how it fits into the garden of SOTT.

A great song but I prefer it with Bonnie Raitt's vocals and with the extra instrumentation on that one. After all he did give this to her and intended it to sung by a woman. This seems like an early version done as a guide vocal for her (the bit around 2:30 on seems very improvised rather than planned). Thankfully it sounds good and they haven't massacred it with added echoes like on most of the songs on Originals.

This was first meant to be for The Hookers before Vanity 6, then later gave it to Bonnie Raitt eventually...

I wonder why the credits on YT say: Slide Guitar: Bonnie Raitt Vocals: Bonnie Raitt I mean WTF? It's not Bonnie's version. . On a sidenote, as with Dear Michaelangelo, this is so gay A COMPREHENSIVE PRINCE DISCOGRAPHY (work in progress ^^): https://sites.google.com/...scography/

A solid song I like most was already familiar with. Sounds great and grooves a long nicely. Probably will be one of least essential songs on the set for me but it has very tough competition. Also I suspect repeated plays will reward.

That horn line sounds very familiar... I'm sure he used it elsewhere, perhaps live in concert, just can't put my finger on it.

Correct - I thought so too then just figured out he used it in Controversy when it was played live in concert!

This could have been put on The Vault ...Old Friends 4 Sale. I'm starting to really appreciate this. Really like the horns and organ.

The sound on this is great (headphones). I’m still blown away by how Prince was able to write songs for a wide variety of artists in their voice...I mean, it’s hard enough just to write a song, let alone for anyone else. It’s incredible that I can listen to this and imagine Bonnie Raitt singing it.

^ You can hear Bonnie Raitt singing it, it's been leaked before. Loved it.

I never heard Bonnie Raitts version before, only the instrumental. So I looked up Bonnie's version. I much prefer Prince's version, but that's because I love his singing and generally, his songs don't work when sung by other people for me, with the possible exception of a few Time songs.
