However I do love that video and others from that era. Cinnamon Girl is a powerful visual.

I like the Musicology video too

Sometimes Prince often starts strong with videos for an album, then it falls off in originality or interest.

As far as "decent," that's a stretch. It's certainly not the top of his videos.

I don't hate hte song, though. But that bass is off. Those higher notes on a bass just don't make it funky. It sounds like it's in a constant 4-beat loop of a trasition from one thing to another, and never gets there. It's like if you took "break...us...down..." from "Let's Go Crazy" and just played that bar over and over.

Always thought it was 'meh' on record, but really worked live

Not exactly a genius song but it always sounded like a very well crafted hit to me, which was sorely needed at the time. I still put it on all the time.

I loved the live arrangement of this (with the dramatic and melodic) bass guitar.
