No she didn't win.
Being nominated will allow her to be the musical director for other projects. I wonder why Sheila wasn't nominated for BET musical performance that she directed. She was great.

Because, quite frankly, she isn't that great. |

YA...I was at the Grammy Prince tribute. Wasn't so great....not only was she on stage for all but 2 or 3 songs but towards the end she got mad at the audience for not grooving as hard as she wanted... "You know, this is funky but I wish he'd play like he used to, old scragglyhead son of a...*smack* OOH!"

Sheila & her band comes the closest with Prince's(r.i.p.) exact musical arrangements. U can slander her if U want! As many times as I've seen her live she leaves with the audience in her hands & gives her ALL in each performance! She will ALWAYS be called upon in " the industry" for ANY of his tributes. It' s because idiots have no verbal response anymore against such stuff. Pills and thrills and daffodils will kill... If you don't believe me or don't get it, I don't have time to try to convince you, sorry. |

You didn't think Sheila would miss out in the press with the re-issue coming out did you?

Um... People on the org need to stop being asswipes. Shelia is a star. She does interviews. She SHOULD be doing interviews about the SOTTSD.

From reading this article, you almost forget that Prince refused to talk to her the last 5 years of his life - the second time he forbad her presence (89 as well).
Prince NEVER talked to you.

I've seen Prince and Sheila more times than I can remember, and only Sheila can do Prince songs live any justice or anywhere near the way he used to do them.

.
Her talent as a bandleader and arranger are severely under-rated.

.
My avatar is from a late 80's concert when she was doing "Kiss" live in a better arrangement that sounded more like the record than even Prince was at the time. |
