It got cut where it sould've been cut. That whole intro is just a band grooving into a song. Even Prince says on the actual recording. Nothing to serious. May not be kept. He even rerecorded his vocals

Im sure some of us remember,
The intro or whatever it's called was on present the studio version bootlegs in the early 1990s. It was a bit of a surprise to hear it included on the SOTT SDE.

I don;t know, I had the boot version before the B-sides version and that one had the intro (called 'Paris' on the bootleg) intact, so it was surprising to hear it was edited out on the official release.
